Our school participated in the conference “Studying, Teaching, Learning about the European Union II”, held on 18 and 19 January 2025 at the main building of the University of Piraeus, presenting a workshop entitled: “Teaching and Learning through Intangible Cultural Heritage: An Innovative UNESCO–European Union Proposal for Integrating Living Heritage into School Education – A Pilot Implementation in Greece.”
The workshop, designed for educators, was based on our school’s project on Rebetiko music and was co-organized with the Directorate of Modern Cultural Heritage of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. It was coordinated by Elena Bazini, Social Anthropologist at the Directorate of Modern Cultural Heritage, and Katerina Christodoulou, Ralleio English teacher and UNESCO international expert and collaborator on the integration of living heritage into school education.
The conference was organized within the framework of the Jean Monnet program “MOTIVATE: Motivating Teachers4Europe” of the University of Piraeus.
