With enthusiasm and creative spirit, students from upper secondary schools across Piraeus took part in the event entitled “Piraeus Rhetorical Races: The Art of Rhetoric at the Port,” held at the emblematic Municipal Theatre of Piraeus on May 12 and 22, 2025.
This initiative, implemented within the framework of the four-year Cooperation Agreement between the Municipality of Piraeus and the Directorate of Secondary Education of Piraeus, was organized as part of the “Sea Days” celebrations. Drawing its thematic inspiration from the sea, travel, wandering, and the city of Piraeus itself, the event invited students to express their thoughts on the port, the history of their city, the marine environment, and the future of their hometown.
On May 12, lyceum students articulated their thoughts and arguments with maturity and passion. Among the participants were A’ class students from Ralleio Lykeio— Michaela Athanasopoulou, Kleopatra Konomou, Symela Krokou, and Evangelia Fentouri — who received high praise from the rhetoric instructors. The educators commended them for their rhetorical skill and exemplary character.
