On Friday, March 14, author Vicky Georgouli visited our school, following an invitation from Greek Language and Literature teacher Andromachi Siambani.
The author engaged in a discussion with the classes A4 and C2 (Humanities), sharing knowledge, emotions, and ideas related to the subject of Modern Greek Literature. The aim of the discussion was to provide the students with an experiential opportunity to interact with the author, enabling them to understand the motivation behind her writing as well as her ideological and emotional world. Specific learning objectives included connecting the stories to their social and historical context, familiarizing the students with the writing process, and introducing them to literature as a means of expression and reflection. Additionally, the session aimed to foster reading enthusiasm and empathy, enhance the students' expressive abilities, develop creative writing skills, and encourage participation in a creative dialogue.
