On Monday, 3rd February 2025, we left the classrooms once more to gain new experiential knowledge through educational visits.
A’ class students visited the ancient Greek and Roman markets and the adjacent museum in the center of Athens.
B’ class and C3, C4 class students visited Diomedes Botanical Garden where they attended two experiential educational programs. The first one focused on plants from different parts of the world (Oceania, South America), their medicinal properties, the different growing circumstances and the relation to climate zones and the cycle of water. The second program was related to birds of prey. The students watched the birds and learned about their habits, the threats they face as well as about bioaccumulation by specialists. They also had the opportunity to hold birds of prey wearing special gloves.
C’ class students attended a special educational program at the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus entitled “Aspects of women’s life in Antiquity” focusing on their education, everyday activities and their position in classical Athenian society. B1 class students were guided in the museum exhibits by Ralleio teacher Ms Keskesiadou, who was also responsible for the organization of the visit.
The students were accompanied by all Ralleio teachers. The program for the educational visits of school year 2024-2025 was drafted by Greek Language teachers A. Keskesiadou, K. Paidonomou and M. Panagiotopoulou
