On Tuesday 12.11.24 we left the classrooms once more to gain new experiential knowledge through educational visits.
A’ class students visited Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center where they watched a 3D projection at the Dome about the buildings of the hill of Acropolis. The projection was followed by a Q & A session guided by a museum specialist.
B’ class students visited the Museum of Athens Observatory located in a neoclassical building designed by the famous architect Hanssen. Two astrophysicists guided the students around the museum focusing on a reproduction of the Antikethyra mechanism (considered the oldest computer globally), an old map of the Moon, a sizeable antique telescope and other astronomical instruments.
C’ class students were guided around floating naval museum Battleship “Georgios Averof”, whose history is closely related to the history of 20th century Greece. The guided tour was provided by specialized Navy officers.
The students were accompanied by all Ralleio teachers.
The program for the educational visits of school year 2024-2025 was drafted by Greek Language teachers A. Keskesiadou, K. Paidonomou and M. Panagiotopoulou
