On the occasion of the celebration of World Animal Day, we organized an awareness-raising event at Ralleio school theatre, under the auspices of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Piraeus, on Wednesday 4 October 2023. In his address to our school community, the Director of the Directorate stressed the significance of respecting animal rights.
The main speakers at the event were Greek Language teachers Dr Dimitris Christopoulos and Dr Maria Panagiotopoulou while teams of students intervened regarding the legislation that protects animal rights. In addition, veterinarian Ms E. Ramadani spoke about the importance of animal vaccination and neutralization while pet shop owner Mr P. Moschopoulos and members of animal protection organizations talked about the well being of animals.
Ralleio students were enthusiastic about the event and the visit of the trained German shepherd dog Ektoras at the school premises.
