Our school’s collaboration with the Research Centre and the Laboratory of Educational Policy, Research, Development, and Inter-University Cooperation of the University of Piraeus in European programs began in 2016 with our participation in the Jean Monnet program “YouthActiv.” This cooperation continued with Erasmus+ KA3 program “Teachers4Europe: Setting an Agenda for Democratic Culture” (2018–2021), which aimed to create a network of educators that would foster students’ social and civic competences, support democratic values, fundamental rights, intercultural understanding, and the acquisition of related knowledge.
During the current academic year, we renewed our collaboration within the framework of the Jean Monnet program “MOTIVATE: Motivating Teachers4Europe,” which promotes teaching, learning, research, and dialogue on the European Union.
Through our school’s Erasmus+ KA1 CULT program, its academic and organizational coordinator, Ralleio English teacher Katerina Christodoulou, was invited to participate as a MOTIVATE Ambassador. She presented the program at the Thematic Seminar on Democratic Life, organized by Erasmus+ National Agency (State Scholarships Foundation) on Friday, 22 November 2024, at Antonis Tritsis Amphitheatre of the City of Athens.
